Dejan Ljevnaić, Director of the Olympic Center Jahorina, announced the opening of the new winter season on December 12, 2024, which brings enhanced new features and improved infrastructure, along with attractive ski pass offers. These significant investments in the development of Jahorina strengthen its position as the leading winter tourism destination in the region.
Despite the new investments, ski pass prices will remain at last year’s level, with additional benefits such as a 15% discount during the presale period, which lasted until October 2. The sale at discounted prices continues until November 1, offering a 10% discount. Additionally, promotional periods with discounts of up to 50% have been announced! This ski season, skiers will have the opportunity to take advantage of a 50% discount on ski passes during the opening week, while a 30% discount will be available until December 22. In response to skiers’ demands, ski pass prices will be adjusted based on the availability of ski slopes and lifts, with full prices applying only when all slopes are open.
“It’s necessary to adjust and align prices with the offer. Skiers should be provided with various options, from accommodation to food and beverages, in order to maintain the best price-quality ratio, which sets us apart from other destinations,” added Ljevnaić.
One of the new features this winter is the opening of the fourth children’s playground, located at the Ogorjelica six-seater chairlift. The new children’s slope, with a 52-meter conveyor belt, is an ideal track for kids learning to ski, as well as for families wanting to stay in that part of the mountain. Also, this winter Jahorina introduces new ski depots at the base station of the Poljice gondola, where skiers can safely store their equipment immediately after skiing. The project to expand night skiing possibilities includes the installation of 44 new floodlights along the “Novak Đoković” and “Prača” slopes, allowing skiers to enjoy night routes with perfect visibility. In addition, a new 600-meter ski lift with a capacity of 1,200 skiers per hour connects the Trnovo and Poljice slopes, enabling quick access to popular ski areas even in unfavorable weather conditions. These investments confirm the commitment of the Olympic Center Jahorina to improving service quality, further solidifying its position as one of the most attractive winter tourism destinations in the region.
